Situation
Mobility services as they are now are designed for the majority and therefore not accessible for everyone.
What If ..
What if there is an AI hologram that detects people that are lost and creates a welcoming comittee providing all the cultural and logistic information the new traveler needs?
Emerging frictions
1. The AI can keep track of the problems that the travellers experience, then steps could be made to solve these problems (for example not needing a dutch phone number for OV fiets). 2. Is it legal to scan people, and keep track of them? And what will the data be used for? (PRIVACY) 3. What is the impact of the machine on the feelings of the people. (Jort VS Guille perspectives)
Provocative statement
If we want to try to help the internationals that are new to Enschede find their way through the city... how much can we intervene? Delegating the hospitality and information delivery to passive technology is perceived as invinting or intimitating by the internationals? What about the locals? Is then a passive way of helping them with an ai assistant (possibly more feasible than a structural change in the mobility infrastructure) better than nothing at all?
