More and more electric lithium buses have been introduced into the public transport system, and the electricity grid simply can't keep up with the increase of charging stations.

What If ..

Because of the extra costs the buses are not going to be replaced with a newer alternative. Instead of overloading the grid even more, the government decided to reinstate diesel buses.

Emerging frictions

Of course, this is an obvious downgrade from a sustainability point of view. Reinstating diesel buses means that emissions will be at an all time high again in the Netherlands, and there will be no more possibility of ever reaching the Paris agreement or scenario 2.
